David is a Project Scientist in the Eisen lab. He is responsible for supervising undergraduate research projects in microbiology, microbial ecology, and genomics. He also manages research projects/collaborations in the lab including microbial sampling, metagenomics, and bacterial genome assembly. He is currently supervising several undergraduates who are attempting to culture organisms from the seagrass microbiome.
